Corneal Pachymetry
CORNEAL PACHYMETRY (DGH-550 PACHETTE 2) Corneal pachymetry is an instrument that measures the thickness of the cornea. Our computerized corneal pachymeter utilizes ultrasound to provide a precise measurement of corneal thickness. During the procedure anesthetic drops are placed in the eye, and a small probe is placed on the tear film. The measurement is completed in less than 20 seconds, and is completely painless. This measurement is very helpful in the management of glaucoma, corneal disorders, keratoconus, and (pre and post) refractive surgery. As part of 20/20's commitment to excellence in vision care, we provide: • Evaluation and management of health-related problems of the eyes such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. • Treatment of complications from eye infections, ocular allergies, and dry eyes. • Pre and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgeries. • Custom contact lens fitting for astigmatism, bifocals, sports; as well as specialty fits for keratoconus.
If you have any questions regarding any procedure, we're here to provide you the answers.
